The Saskatoon Royals wrapped up their season by taking home the Silver Medal at the Central Canada Cup, formerly the Keystone Cup.

Neck Guard Announcement
The PJHL strongly encourages the use of neck protection immediately for players during on-ice activities. Based on anticipated supply, the PJHL will mandate the use of certified neck protection for the 2024-2025 season unless otherwise directed by Hockey Canada or Hockey Saskatchewan. Storm Announces New Coach and GM
The Pilot Butte Storm are excited to announce that Chris Lewgood will be back behind the bench for the 2023-24 season. With Drew Kocur accepting a role as Assistant Coach of the SJHL’s Estevan Bruins; Chris will take over his former role as Head Coach and General Manager. Chris previously spent 9 years behind the Storm bench; 3 years as an assistant coach for Larry Lolacher then 6 years as Head Coach; 4 of which he also served as the team GM. In his 6 years as Head Coach the Storm won 6 straight South Division Championships and 3 PJHL Provincial Championships. Since leaving the Storm after the 2012-13 season, Chris spent 7 seasons as Head Coach and GM of the SJHL’s Estevan Bruins. He has spent the last 2 seasons as the assistant coach for the University of Regina Cougars.

The Lumberjacks would like to welcome Dodge Long! Long comes from the Saskatoon Quakers Jr Hockey Club in the Prairie Junior Hockey League!

Husli Committed ACHA-M2
Congratulations to Adam Husli, who is Providence University bound! Husli played 4 seasons with the Pilot Butte Storm, tallying 134 career points in 115 games. Other achievements throughout Adam’s junior career include, Most Assists (38) in the 2020-2021 season, during the 2022-2023 season, he was selected to the Bill Johnston Division All-Star team and helped his team to capture the PJHL Championship! Best of luck, Adam!

NHL Bound
Former Saskatoon Quakers player Vukie Mpofu has been named as the Pittsburgh Penguins Director of Hockey Operations and Legal Affairs. Vukie played 27 games with the Quakers during the 2014-15 season.

Storm Wins
The Pilot Butte Storm are 2022-23 PJHL Champions defeating The Saskatoon Quakers 4 games to 3. And with that the 2022-23 PJHL Season has come to an end.

Storm Rebels Game Rescheduled
The game Feb 7/24 between the Storm and Southern Rebels will now be played on Feb19/24 at 7:30pm in Assiniboia.

PJHL All Star Game
The PJHL All Star game was played Saturday night in Delisle. The Bob Dybvig (North) Division beat the Bill Johnston (South) Division 5-1.
