Barry Karst Memorial Scholarship Award
Byron Gabel of the Assiniboia Southern Rebels being presented with the Barry Karst Memorial Scholarship award from VP Darrell Kasper. Byron was the co-winner of this award along with Saskatoon Royals player Shane Gallaghan.

Referee of the Year Award
Todd Sharpe is presented Referee of the Year Award by VP Darrell Kasper - an award voted on by the teams in the league.

Feb 13, 2010 marked the end of a 17 year career as an official within the Prairie Junior Hockey League as Todd Sharpe worked his last game on the ice. Todd made special request to finish his career off on that date in Assiniboia where his career started many years previously. Todd was not only a successful referee in the Prairie Junior Hockey League but advanced further to a successful career in the SJHL and WHL. Although busy with 2 young girls who are actively involved in dancing and a young boy who is an aspiring hockey player, Todd will continue helping advance other officials off the ice as a Referee Supervisor and mentor within the SHA including the PJHL and SJHL.
