Prairie Junior Hockey LeagueJoin our team! VP OF FINANCEThe PJHL is looking for a motivated, creative and passionate individual to manage our league’s financials.
Founded in 2007, when the SSJHL and NSJHL joined to form the PJHL. The PJHL is Saskatchewan’s Junior ‘B’ Hockey League and consists of twelve teams separated by two divisions. Bob Dybvig Division – Prince Albert Timberjaks, Carrot River Outback Thunder, Saskatoon Royals, Saskatoon Quakers, Saskatoon Westleys, and Martensville Chiefs. Bill Johnston Division – Assiniboia Southern Rebels, Regina Capitals, Regina Silver Foxes, Pilot Butte Storm, Fort Knox and Moosomin Steel hawks.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Attend to all correspondence relating to the books and records of the PJHL.
- Maintain the financial records of the PJHL; including updating the Excel Summary monthly.
- Record receipts and payments, deposit all moneys received in a bank of the league’s choice, pay all accounts of the league as directed by the Executive.
- Prepare or coordinate the preparation of the PJHL Financial Statements for the annual general meeting (AGM). Secure an accountant to review the financial statements and the books and records on an annual basis.
- Prepare the current year budget for the PJHL and present it at the AGM in April. Update the budget for any changes noted for the scheduling meeting in June; finalize budget with the President and Management Committee in August to determine the annual team fees. Provide a mid-year update to the PJHL membership regarding the budget.
- Receive all applications for the PJHL scholarship. Summarize the applicants in a format for the President and Management Committee to review and select for the annual scholarship’s awards. Update the criteria for the awarding of the scholarship on an annual basis and submit to the President and Management Committee for approval.
This position is a voluntary part-time position with an annual honorarium.

VP OF DISCIPLINEThe PJHL is looking for an organized and detail orientated individual to manage and communicate disciplinary actions and suspensions.
Founded in 2007, when the SSJHL and NSJHL joined to form the PJHL. The PJHL is Saskatchewan’s Junior ‘B’ Hockey League and consists of twelve teams separated by two divisions. Bob Dybvig Division – Prince Albert Timberjaks, Carrot River Outback Thunder, Saskatoon Royals, Saskatoon Quakers, Saskatoon Westleys, and Martensville Chiefs. Bill Johnston Division – Assiniboia Southern Rebels, Regina Capitals, Regina Silver Foxes, Pilot Butte Storm, Fort Knox and Moosomin Steel hawks.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Keep records of all major, match, and misconduct penalties
- Keep records of all penalties that are considered accumulative in the PJHL bylaws
- Communicate suspensions to teams and executives within 12 hours of occurrence
- Communicate suspensions to Hockey Sask through their website portal
- Work with Hockey Sask to ensure league and teams understand rule interpretation
- Attend league functions and executive meetings
This position is a voluntary part-time position with an annual honorarium.
VP OF MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIAThe PJHL is looking for a motivated, creative and passionate individual to manage our league social media platforms and attract corporate partners.
Founded in 2007, when the SSJHL and NSJHL joined to form the PJHL. The PJHL is Saskatchewan’s Junior ‘B’ Hockey League and consists of twelve teams separated by two divisions. Bob Dybvig Division – Prince Albert Timberjaks, Carrot River Outback Thunder, Saskatoon Royals, Saskatoon Quakers, Saskatoon Westleys, and Martensville Chiefs. Our league has taken strides the past three years to develop an active and consistent presence online, through our Facebook, Instagram and X accounts. We look forward to continuing to grow our following by sharing the stories, history and achievements of the twelve teams within the PJHL, and all players, both past and present.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Work with the Management Committee and PJHL President to develop strategies that will grow our followers across social media.
- Work with PJHL teams, who will all be responsible to provide the VP of Marketing content on a scheduled basis throughout the year to ensure that all teams have the opportunity to be equally represented.
- Interact with our teams, players, fans and the hockey community online through PJHL social media platforms.
- The development and posting of engaging and relevant content through the sharing of team history, stories, pictures, volunteer recognitions, statistics, etc.
- Work with the PJHL President to establish a date/time for the posting of League Award recipients, this could be time sensitive.
This position is a voluntary part-time position with an annual honorarium. Candidates must have their own computer or laptop and design platform for creating social media posts and graphics.
